Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a reinforcement of a motor vehicle bodyshell (1) provided with a set of bodyshell elements comprising a lower side member (2a) secured to at least one rear pillar (3a) and equipped with a side member reinforcer (4). The rear end (4a) of the side member reinforcer (4) is fixed against the rear pillar (3a) extending, in terms of elevation (V1) at least as far as a region (Z1) at which a seatbelt winding mechanism is attached to the rear pillar (3a). The rear end (4a) of the side member reinforcer (4) forms a first reinforcer of the rear pillar (3a) and is provided with an interface (10a) for attaching said winding mechanism to the side member reinforcer (4) via the rear end (4a) thereof.
