Abstract:

The clamp plate (28) of a binding wire clamp device (25) nips the front end of a loop of wire fed to a nose (6) by a binding wire feed mechanism (1), and a feed motor (13) for the binding wire feed mechanism (1) is driven backward to pull back the wire. When the wire closely contact reinforcing bars (S) and the load on the feed motor increases to cause the driving current to increase by a given amount, a controller stops the feed motor. Thereafter, the binding wire clamp device (25) rotates to twist the binding wire to bind the reinforcing bars. Since the wire length is automatically adjusted to the reinforcing bar diameter by pulling back the wire, the binding finish state is uniformized and the wire consumption is saved.
