Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reinforcing bar joint coupler, which is used for joining round bar-shaped members such as reinforcing bars or pipes, and comprising: a hollow body-shaped fixing member having threads formed at both ends thereof; disc-shaped bases respectively inserted through the hollow holes formed at both ends of the fixing member; piece bodies, which is in a hollow body-shaped having an inclination surface decreasing in diameter towards the outside, positioned outside of the bases and composed of a plurality of division pieces divided in the circumferential direction; sleeves, which are in a hollow body-shaped, screw-coupled to the threads of the fixing member and having inclination surfaces formed inside thereof so as to correspond to the inclination surfaces of the piece bodies; and springs mounted between the bases and the piece bodies, and more specifically, to a reinforcing bar joint coupler in which: a nut hole penetrating into the outer circumference of the fixing member is formed; one pair of pressing members are inserted between the one pair of bases; and a wedge is inserted between the one pair of pressing members such that, when an insertion bolt is inserted through the nut hole of the fixing member, the wedge moves the pressing members positioned at both sides thereof in both side directions and thus the piece bodies move together with the bases in the direction of the sleeve having a narrow inner space, thereby gripping the outer circumferences of the reinforcing bars inserted through the hollow holes of the sleeve. Therefore, the present invention includes remarkable effects wherein: the fastening force between round bar-shaped members such as reinforcing bars or pipes can be easily adjusted, the initial slip phenomenon can be prevented such that the residual deformation meets the performance standards, after fastening, disassembly or release can be easily performed in accordance with circumstances such that the joining time can be shortened, and the like.
