Abstract:
Disclosed is a reinforcing code (12) for reinforcing a rubbery product, which
comprises a reinforcing fiber and a coating film provided on the surface of the
reinforcing fiber. The coating film is formed by applying an aqueous adhesive
agent onto the reinforcing fiber and drying the resulting product. The aqueous
adhesive agent comprises at least one rubber latex selected from a carboxyl-modified
hydrogenated nitrile rubber and a carboxyl-modified nitrile rubber and a crosslinking
agent, and contains a resorcinol-formaldehyde condensate in an amount of 0 to
2 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber in terms of a mass-based
solid content.
