Abstract:
A reinforcing fiber composite material comprises multiple reinforcing fiber bundle layers, a tough reinforcing textile, and a matrix resin. A laminate is formed by laminating the multiple reinforcing fiber bundle layers. The reinforcing fiber bundle layers have multiple textile substrates in sheet form. Each of the multiple textile substrates contains multiple reinforcing fiber bundles and has a selvage. The multiple textile substrates are arranged side-by-side such that the selvages are adjacent to one another. The tough reinforced textile is adhered to the multiple textile substrates such that the adjacent selvages are covered. The laminate is impregnated by the matrix resin.
