Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a reinforcing woven fabric which has excellent deformability, can conform to complicated shapes, and has excellent retention of the shapes; a preform employing the woven fabric; a molded fiber-reinforced resin; and processes for producing these. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A resin material is adhered to at least one surface of a woven fabric base comprising reinforcing fiber bundles. Thereafter, the relative positions of the reinforcing fiber bundles constituting the woven fabric base are changed, whereby the resin material adherent to two or more reinforcing fiber bundles is separated from part of the two or more reinforcing fiber bundles. Thus, a reinforcing woven fabric is obtained in which when the tensile strain thereof is measured through a tensile test in a non-fiber-axis direction, the maximum value of load during the period when the tensile strain is increased to 1% is in the range of 0.01-0.75 N.
