Abstract:

The disclosed multi-stage relay communication system (100) is configured from a trunk network (1) and branch networks (2) (2a, 2b), each of which is configured from at least one communication device (4). The communication devices (4) can switch between a trunk mode that operates at the trunk network (1) and a branch mode that operates at the branch networks (2). At the trunk network (1), in order to satisfy a data arrival factor and real-time characteristics, the communication device (4) causes the communication pathway to be static and the data to be redundant on the basis of a pathway table. Also, in the branch networks (2), in order for at least the data arrival factor to be secured even if real-time characteristics are lost within a permissible range, during times of communication failure, the communication devices (4) autonomously search for a communication pathway and build a pathway table.
