Abstract:
A relay controller (6) controls operation of a relay circuit (5) which is provided between a battery (4) and an electric load (2) and is housed in an airtight manner inside a case (31) of a battery pack (3) equipped with the battery (4). The relay circuit is equipped with: a first main relay (511) provided to a first current route (501), which is the current route connected to a first terminal among a first terminal (41) and a second terminal (42), which constitute a pair of terminals in the battery; a second main relay (512) provided to a second current route (502), which is a current route connected to said second terminal; and a pre-charge relay (513) which is connected to the second current route in parallel to the second main relay. The relay controller turns on the pre-charge relay, the first main relay and the second main relay, in this order, and thereafter, turns off the pre-charge relay, the first main relay and the second main relay, in this order.
