Abstract:
A relay device for performing relay processing for relaying data between a plurality of functional units mounted on a vehicle. The relay device is provided with: a count unit which, during the relay processing, counts a relayed packet number that is the number of packets relayed to each of functional units of interest comprising a plurality of the functional units of the same type; and a detection unit which monitors the count value in the count unit, and, on the basis of a maximum value and a minimum value of each of the relayed packet numbers counted by the count unit, detects illegal communication to the functional units of interest.
