Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible to identify the topology of a network even if connected device information is displayed in different formats. [Solution] A relay device 10 relays communications between a router 2 which supports a prescribed protocol for identifying the topology of a network N, and an information device 3 which does not support the prescribed protocol. The relay device 10 is provided with a storage unit that stores device information of the information device 3 having a format based on the prescribed protocol. The relay device 10 forwards a packet transmitted from the router 2 to the information device 3, forwards a packet transmitted from the information device 3 to the router 2, and transmits the device information stored in the storage unit 13 to the router 2.
