Abstract:
Provided is a relay device that is able to supply charging current from a generator to at least two power storage units, and that, when a fault has occurred in one of the power storage units, is able to prevent the fault from reaching the other power storage unit. In this relay device (1) a first power storage unit-side conduction path (11) is connected between a generator-side conduction path (13) and a first power storage unit (91), and a second power storage unit-side conduction path (12) is connected between the generator-side conduction path (13) and a second power storage unit (92). A relay unit (20) cuts off conduction between the first power storage unit (91) and the second power storage unit (92) during an off operation of a first switch unit (21) provided in the first power storage unit-side conduction path (11) and a second switch unit (22) provided in the second power storage unit-side conduction path (12). A control unit (3) turns off the second switch unit (22) during an on operation of the first switch unit (21), and turns off the first switch unit (21) during an on operation of the second switch unit (22).
