Abstract:
Provided is a relay device, which is capable of performing switching between on and off of an energizing path between electricity storage units, and which is capable of performing, in the cases where abnormalities, such as short-circuiting, occurred, protection operations, while suppressing output deterioration of the electricity storage units. A relay device (1) has: a conductive path (11) to be a path of a current flowing between a first electricity storage unit (91) and a second electricity storage unit (92); a switch unit (20) that performs switching between an on-state wherein a current is carried in the conductive path (11), and an off-state wherein the conductive path (11) is in a predetermined non-conductive state; a coil (30) (inductance unit), which is connected in series to MOSFETs (21, 22) constituting the switch unit (20), and which has an inductance component; and a control unit (3) that switches the switch unit (20) to the off state in the cases where a detection value obtained by a current detection unit (50) is a predetermined abnormal value.
