Abstract:
A method according to an embodiment is performed by a relay device which is connected to a higher-level device and has the function of relaying communications between the higher-level device and a lower-level device. The method comprises: receiving, from the higher-level device, priority order information defining priority orders of candidate higher-level devices as candidate destinations for reconnection by the relay device; sensing, after the relaying has been started, failure of connection with the higher-level device; determining, in accordance with the sensing of the connection failure and on the basis of the priority order information, a higher-level device as a destination for reconnection by the relay device from among the candidate higher-level devices; and transmitting a reconnection request to the higher-level device that has been determined.
