Abstract:
This relay device comprises: a first terminal electrically connected to a first target; a second terminal electrically connected to a second target; a relay for switching on and off of the electrical connection between the first terminal and the second terminal; and a control unit for performing the on/off control of the relay. The control unit executes, in a hardware manner, first cut-off control for comparing a first voltage at the first terminal with a first threshold voltage and cutting off the relay on the basis of the result of the comparison. The control unit executes, in a software manner, second cut-off control for comparing the first voltage with a second threshold voltage, which is higher than the first threshold voltage, and cutting off the relay on the basis of the result of the comparison.
