Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a reliable broadcast-based binary consensus method, applied to any consensus node in a distributed system, and comprising the following steps: for a proposal of any consensus node to be agreed with, determining an initial voting value corresponding to said proposal, the initial voting value being a first voting value or a second voting value; repeating the following rounds of consensus steps until a preset stop condition is reached, each round of consensus step comprising: broadcasting this round of voting values to other nodes among the N consensus nodes by using a reliable broadcast RBC protocol; and determining a consensus condition of said proposal on the basis of the received voting values broadcast by the other consensus nodes. By using the method, all the consensus nodes broadcast voting values by means of the reliable broadcast RBC protocol, and determine consensus results on the basis of the voting values broadcast by the other consensus nodes, such that all the consensus nodes can quickly reach a consensus for said proposal, and the security during consensus can be improved.
