Abstract:
A relief valve (100) comprises a suction poppet (3) that allows the flow of an operation fluid from a low-pressure passage (4L) to a high-pressure passage (4H) in an open-valve state, a pilot passage (60) through which the high-pressure passage (4H) and a back-pressure chamber (8) inside the suction poppet (3) communicate, and a pilot poppet (9) that opens and closes a passage (21) through which the back-pressure chamber (8) and a drain chamber (12) provided inside a guide plug (7) communicate, the suction poppet (3) having a first seating part (3a) that is seated in a first seat part (1a) of a device body (1), a main poppet (5) having a projecting part (53a) that projects toward the high-pressure passage (4H), and the length L from the first seating part (3a) to a tip-side opening (61a) of the pilot passage (60) facing the high-pressure passage (4H) being set to a length that is equal to or greater than the outside diameter D0 of the projecting part (53a).
