Abstract:
The method of remediating fan source production of smoke (19) in an aircraft cabin (16), that includes detecting excessive vibration of the fan housing or frame (22) produced in conjunction with fan rotor (12) interference with the frame or housing (22) causing smoke production, and effecting shut-down of fan rotor rotation in response to such detecting.
