A remote configuration method for a washing machine control program. The washing machine control program is installed on a control terminal for a washing machine and is in communicative connection with a cloud server. After configuration information stored in the cloud server is updated or when new configuration information is added, the configuration information is pushed to a corresponding washing machine control program end so as to update the program. The configuration information comprises parameter information required by the washing machine corresponding to the control terminal. In the method, remote configuration is performed on parameters of different washing machines, so that the washing machines can be used multiple times after being configured once, and there is no need to upgrade a front-end washing machine control program. A new configuration operation can also be accomplished even by a person who is not a program developer, such that a technician does not have to be confined to a single configuration operation, and can thus pay more attention to the research and development of a front-end washing machine control program.
