Abstract:
A remote control device (22) of a bipedal mobile robot, wherein, when moving the robot from a present position to a specified position, an operator operates an operating element (26) for the specified moving direction of the operating device (23) of the remote control device (22), for example, by the number of times corresponding to the specified moving amount of the robot in that moving direction, the moving amount of the robot for each moving direction is set according to the number of times of the operation, and the leg bodies of the robot is moved according to the set value of the moving amount for each moving direction to move the robot, the moving amount allowed to be set by the operation of the operating element (26) comprising a rather small moving amount allowing the robot to move therethrough by performing one cycle of floor parting action and one cycle of floor landing action of both leg bodies of the robot and a rather large moving amount requiring for the robot to move therethrough a plurality steps of floor parting and landing actions of the leg bodies of the robot, whereby the movement of the bipedal mobile robot to the specified position can be surely performed by a rather simple operation.
