Abstract:
This remote control device 60 measures, with a ranging unit, the distance to an object of interest OB directly in front. Further, the remote control device 60 measures motion from an initial state with a motion sensor unit, and transmits object position information indicating the measured distance and motion from a communication unit to an imaging device 20. On the basis of the object position information from the remote control device 60, an object position calculation unit provided on the imaging device 20 calculates the direction of the object of interest OB with respect to the direction of the imaging device 20 in an initial state. By generating a direction control signal on the basis of the calculation result of the object position calculation unit and outputting this to a camera platform 40, the imaging direction of the imaging device 20 can be set to the direction of the object of interest OB.
