Abstract:
There is provided a system for remote-controlling a controllable device (100) via a network from a terminal (130) located at a remote place. The controllable device (100) stores a channel table (55) correlating a broadcast station number assigned for each broadcast station and recognized by a remote control device (110) with a channel number assigned for each broadcast station and recognized by the controllable device (100). Thus, even if the correspondence between the broadcast station and the channel number is different depending on the area, it is possible to remote-specify the channel number according to the area. Moreover, the remote control device (110) can read out the channel table (55) of the controllable device (100) and correctly correct the channel table (55) according to the user operation on the terminal (130).
