Title:
REMOTE-CONTROLLABLE CIRCUIT BREAKER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1983/002680
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A remote-controllable circuit breaker which is interposed between a power source and a load to break the supply of electric power from the power source to the load when the load is abnormal. The mechanism of this circuit breaker is constructed so that a trip link (109) and a latch link (64) are latched by the spring operation of recoil springs (121, 127), respectively, a movable contactor (48) supported by the link (64) through an operating link (110) is connected to a handle (111) and the handle is connected pivotally through a U-shaped pin (141) to a plunger (153) of a remote control bistable polarized electromagnet unit, thereby holding the contactor (48) on or off by the holding force of the electromagnet unit pivotally secured to the handle (111) and reducing the sizes of the electromagnet and the circuit breaker as well as the power consumption of the electromagnet.
