Title:
REMOTE CONTROLLERS AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/091537
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Remote controllers (31), which feed control commands to air conditioners, are each provided with: a motion sensor unit (61) that receives infrared rays emitted from people, and determines the presence or absence of people on the basis of an infrared ray detection result, and a first presence/absence determination threshold value that establishes a threshold value for determining whether or not people are present in a space being air conditioned by an air conditioner; and a processor (71) that controls the motion sensor unit (61). The processor (71) changes the first presence/absence determination threshold value to a second presence/absence determination threshold value, which is set to a value larger than the first presence/absence determination threshold value, when the intensity of incident infrared rays varies as a result of a change in the surrounding external environment.
