Abstract:
The present invention relates to a remote diagnosis and prediction system for a ballast water treatment device and a method therefor and, more specifically, to a remote diagnosis and prediction system for a ballast water treatment device and a method therefor, the system comprising: a remote terminal unit that is connected to a control unit of the ballast water treatment device so as to extract management data and transmit the extracted management data in the form of protocols by selecting a communication network; a conversion unit that is connected to the remote terminal unit and converts and transmits a received signal; a transmission and reception unit that is connected to the conversion unit so as to transmit the converted signal by radiating the signal in the form of an electromagnetic wave and receives an electromagnetic wave transmitted from the outside; and a server unit which is connected to the communication network so as to transmit and receive protocols, wherein the server unit comprises an application server unit which performs diagnosis and prediction by analyzing the received protocols. Accordingly, it is possible to diagnose and predict, in real time, a problem that has occurred or may occur on a ship during navigation even from a remote place such that a relevant problem can be solved even if a technician is not dispatched to the ship.
