Abstract:
The present invention relates to a remote gas metering device wherein numerals on a metering panel of a meter for displaying the amount of gas consumed after being supplied from an LPG gas container to a place of consumption (a house or a commercial venue) are reflected on a reflecting mirror, the numerals reflected on the reflecting mirror are photographed by a camera, and the obtained image data is transmitted to a computer of a gas supplier at a remote location. A remote gas metering device according to the present invention is characterized in that a reflecting mirror (30) is positioned at the same height as that of a metering panel (11) of a meter (10) for displaying the amount of gas consumed after being supplied to a place of consumption and is arranged to be adjacent to and to slope toward the metering panel (11); numerals on the metering panel (11) of the meter (10) are reflected on the reflecting mirror (30); a camera (40) is arranged below the reflecting mirror (30) so as to face the reflecting mirror (30) such that the camera (40) photographs the numerals on the metering panel (11) reflected on the reflecting mirror (30); the image obtained by the camera (40) is transmitted to a computer of the gas supplier; and the computer of the gas supplier reads the numerals from the image and calculates the amount of gas consumed at the place of consumption.
