The present invention relates to a system and a method for remote health care using a communication network such as Internet and, more particularly, to a system and a method for examining a patient on the basis of the patient's medical history before a primary care physician treats the patient. For a remote health care system for feeding back results of an examination using the patient's medical DB before the patient visits a hospital, the present invention relates to a system and a method for remote health care, the system comprising: a device for measuring at least one or more regions of a body of a patient to generate biometric information and outputting the biometric information by a wired or wireless means; an application server for receiving the biometric information from the device and retrieving and collecting health information matching the patient's information from the medical DB and outputting the biometric information and the health information; and a management server for receiving and analyzing the biometric information and the health information from the application server in real time before the patient visits the hospital, and for feeding back results of the examination of the patient's body to the device. The present invention allows the health of a patient to be checked in advance through the management server without direct medical care by a primary care physician, and allows the health status of the patient to be transmitted in real time through the device, so that it is possible to check whether it is necessary for the patient to visit the hospital.
