A remote keyless entry (RKE) system according to one embodiment is provided with: a vehicle-mounted instrument provided with a vehicle-mounted instrument control unit, a vehicle-mounted instrument transmission unit for transmitting a vehicle-mounted instrument signal, and a vehicle-mounted instrument reception unit for receiving a mobile device signal; and a mobile device provided with a mobile device control unit, an acceleration sensor, a mobile device reception unit for receiving a vehicle-mounted instrument signal, and a mobile device transmission unit for transmitting a mobile device signal. The mobile device control unit calculates, on the basis of the vehicle-mounted instrument signal, a distance from the vehicle-mounted instrument to the mobile device and, on the basis of an acceleration measured by the acceleration sensor, calculates a first movement distance of the mobile device and causes the mobile device transmission unit to transmit a mobile device signal including at least the distance. The vehicle-mounted instrument control unit calculates, on the basis of the distance included in the mobile device signal, a second movement distance of the mobile device and, on the basis of the first movement distance and the second movement distance, determines whether a relay attack has been carried out.
