Abstract:
A remote monitoring system for an elevator is provided with: an elevator control apparatus (200) for controlling the driving of an elevator (20); and a remote operation apparatus (300) which communicates with the elevator control apparatus (200) and causes the elevator (20) to perform a malfunction response operation. When the elevator control apparatus (200) detects the malfunction of a device included in the elevator (20), the elevator control apparatus (200) issues a malfunction signal containing a malfunction code for identifying the malfunctioning device. If the cause of the malfunction of the malfunctioning device is an ON malfunction in which an ON signal is continuously output, the remote operation apparatus (300) transmits a power cut-off command to the malfunctioning device. Furthermore, the remote operation apparatus (300) monitors the signal input into the elevator control apparatus (200) from the malfunctioning device after transmission of the power cut-off command, and when an ON signal is detected, a connection terminal (420), which extends from the malfunctioning device and is connected to the elevator control apparatus (200), and an input terminal (418) of the elevator control apparatus (200), which is the connection destination of the connection terminal (420), are determined to have a poor connection. As a result, when an ON malfunction has occurred, it is possible to determine whether the cause thereof is a malfunction of a device that is the source of the signal output, or a poor connection between the connection terminal (420) and the input terminal (418).
