Abstract:
Provided is a remote monitoring system comprising: a plurality of data collection devices that respectively collect device data including information indicating at least one of operation conditions and operation contents of one or more equipment instruments; and a data aggregation device that communicates with the plurality of data collection devices and receives and aggregates the device data collected by the plurality of data collection devices. The data collection devices store collection-side definition information that defines one or more items for extracting the device data from a group of data including the device data acquired from the one or more equipment instruments, extract the device data on the basis of the collection-side definition information, and send the data aggregation device a request to update the collection-side definition information when predetermined conditions have been satisfied. The data aggregation device stores aggregation-side definition information that defines one or more items for the plurality of data collection devices to respectively extract the device data from the group of data and transmits updating information based on the aggregation-side definition information to the one or more data collection devices when the data aggregation devices have received the request from the one or more data collection devices, and the one or more data collection devices received the updating information update the collection-side definition information using the updating information.
