Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for alerting a user that a control device pertaining to a remote monitoring system is in the process of updating firmware. Provided is a remote monitoring system that is equipped with a mobile terminal operated by a user, a server that communicates with the mobile terminal, and a control device that communicates with the server, wherein: the mobile terminal communicates with the control device via the server; the server, through communication with the control device, starts and completes a firmware update of the control device; and in the event there is an operation instruction from the mobile terminal to the control device while the control device firmware is being updated, notifies the mobile terminal that the firmware of the control device is being updated.
