Abstract:
Provided is a remote operation system capable of bringing a visual recognition portion and an operation portion as close to each other as possible for natural actions and performing a precise operation. The remote operation system comprises a) an imaging device (12) for taking the image of an object, b) an operation tool (11) provided at its leading end with a spot light irradiating portion for irradiating the object, c) a drive unit (13) for changing the position of the operation tool (11), d) an outside display unit (16) for displaying an image taken by the imaging device (12), e) an input unit (17) for an operator to indicate a position corresponding to the display of the outside display unit, f) a distance calculating unit for calculating the distance between the position indicated through the input unit (17) and the position of a spot light made to irradiate the object by the spot light irradiating portion, and g) a control unit (15) for controlling the drive unit (13) on the basis of the distance so that the leading end of the operation tool (11) may approach the indicated position.
