Abstract:
If the modulation index of an FM modulation is large, the candidate values of a carrier frequency exhibit a distribution like two mountains, so that no correct carrier frequency can be determined. In view of this, it is not that a rotation frequency is determined after determining a carrier frequency, but candidate values of side-wave frequency are selected and an approximate value of rotation frequency is determined by majority of the intervals between those candidate values of side-wave frequency (S1), and thereafter, candidate values of carrier frequency are determined (S2). Then, a rotation frequency is selected based on the candidate values of rotation frequency (S3), and the results of the determined carrier frequency and rotation frequency are calculated and displayed (S4).
