Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a remote shutdown system capable of satisfying fire protection isolation requirements for safety critical equipment according to new regulatory standards, without impairing monitoring operability.
This remote shutdown system includes a first control device 21a installed in a first area of a central control room 1 and a second control device 21b installed in a second area thereof, said first area and second area being subjected to fire protection isolation, and a first switch 32a installed in a first area outside the central control room 1 and a second switch 32b installed in a second area outside the central control room 1, said first area and second area being subjected to fire protection isolation, wherein the first control device 21a and the first switch 32a are connected by a first fire protected cable 50a, the second control device 21b and the second switch 32b are connected by a second fire protected cable 50b, and fire protection isolation is not carried out between a first final control element 31a capable of being connected to the first switch 32a and a second final control element 31b capable of being connected to the second switch 32b.
