A removable adapter assembly (30) includes a tapered body portion (31) having a first end (34) configured to receive a tooth horn (32), and a second end (36) configured to receive a removable tooth. The tapered body portion (31) may include first (46) and second (48) sides, which partially define a recess (52,53) adjacent to the first end (34). First and second interior surfaces of the first (46) and second (48) sides, respectively, have first (42) and second (40) gripping surfaces, respectively. The first (42) and second (40) gripping surfaces are configured to cooperate with a retractable insert (38) that is coupled to the tooth horn (32). The tapered body portion (31) is coupled to the tooth horn (32) when the retractable insert (38) is in a first extended position, and the tapered body portion (31) may be removed from the tooth horn (32) when the insert (38) is in a second, retracted position.
