Title:
REMOVAL OF HYDROCARBONS, COOLING LUBRICANTS AND/OR OILS FROM THE SURFACE OF FINE PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1993/009859
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process is disclosed for removing hydrocarbons, cooling lubricants and/or oils from the surface of fine, in particularly anorganic chemical particles. The particles are submerged in an aqueous or water-containing cleaning solution, dispersed by high-speed agitation according to the stator-rotor principle and by simultaneous exposure to an outer or inner ultrasonic field. Magnetic metallic abraded particles may be removed during the process and appropriately recycled. This is also the case of corundum and silicate grits and grinds, that may also be re-used after being separated from said impurities.
