Abstract:
A replacement unit that is for use in a printing device that comprises a printing part that uses a screen mask to print a viscous fluid on a target object. The replacement unit comprises a moving part and an area detection part. The moving part receives a storage rack that has a plurality of shelf parts that store a printing-related member used by the printing device and moves the storage rack between a replacement position for replacing the printing-related member and a standby position that is below the replacement position. When the storage rack is outside a prescribed movement area between the standby position and the replacement position, the area detection part detects objects in a prescribed first detection area around the replacement unit. When the storage rack is within the movement area, the area detection part detects objects in a second detection area that is different from the first detection area.
