Abstract:
A reproduced signal processing apparatus for subjecting signals read from a
recording medium to adaptive processings for reproduction. In this apparatus,
the read signal is filtered by a base line circuit (103) such that the DC components
and low frequency components are removed from the read signal. The filtered
signal is then inputted to a determining circuit (105). The determining circuit
(105) monitors the state of the inputted signal and, only when the state being
stable, outputs a control signal (execution) (C), which controls the adaptive
processings such that the adaptive signal processings in both an adaptive filter
(106) and an adaptive Viterbi decoding circuit (107) of the following stages
are executed. Therefore, the stability of the adaptive processings during
a steady state is enhanced even after a transient state, for example, the state
of unexpected signal fluctuations that may occur upon a power-up or due to a defective
medium.
