Abstract:
The present invention provides a reproduction device with which it is possible to simplify user operations on an information terminal. The reproduction device is provided with a reproduction unit for reproducing content, a communication unit for establishing a direct wireless connection to the information terminal, and a control unit. When the communication unit receives a content reproduction request from the information terminal via the wireless connection, the control unit determines whether the information terminal has previously been permitted. When it is determined that the information terminal has previously been permitted, the control unit performs a first control for turning on the power to the reproduction unit when the power to the reproduction unit is off, and commands to the reproduction unit to reproduce the content. When it is determined that the information terminal has not previously been permitted, the control unit does not perform the first control.
