Abstract:
This reptile skin product has, sequentially laminated on the grain of a reptile skin, a middle layer containing a polyester polyurethane and a surface layer containing nitrocellulose. The reptile skin preferably contains a hexavalent chromium-reducing compound component which can reduce hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium. The hexavalent chromium-reducing compound component is preferably at least one selected from tannin (A-ii) and a compound (A-i) represented by formula (A-i), wherein: n represents 0, 1, or 2; R11-R18 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, or the like; if n is 0, at least one of R11-R14, R16, and R17 is a hydroxy group; if n is 1 or 2, at least one of R11-R18 is a hydroxy group; and if n is 2, R15s may be the same or different, and this is also true of R18s.
