Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for measuring residual stress in a cast or forged steel product using X-rays, wherein the method is provided with a step of irradiating the cast or forged steel product with X-rays, a step of detecting the intensity of diffracted X-rays originating from the X-rays, in two dimensions, and a step of calculating the residual stress on the basis of a diffraction ring formed by the intensity distribution of the diffracted X-rays detected in the detecting step, and wherein: the irradiating step includes a step of changing the conditions for irradiating the cast or forged steel product with the X-rays; the irradiating step is a step in which the changing step is executed each time the cast or forged steel product is irradiated with the X-rays; the calculating step is a step of calculating the residual stress each time the cast or forged steel product is irradiated with the X-rays; and the method is additionally provided with an averaging step of averaging a plurality of residual stresses calculated in the calculating step, after the irradiating step, the detecting step, and the calculating step have been executed a plurality of times in this order.
