Disclosed is a resin composition for coating having excellent balance between coatability, impact resistance, moldability and chemical resistance, and capable of obtaining a good appearance of the coating even when the coating is applied to large molded products. The resin composition for coating comprises 84.9-98.9 parts mass of a rubber-reinforced vinyl resin (A) described below, 1-8 parts mass of a polyester resin (B), and 0.1-7.1 parts mass of an ethylene / (meth)acrylic acid ester / carbon monoxide copolymer (C) (wherein (A)+(B)+(C)=100 parts mass). [rubber-reinforced vinyl resin (A)] The rubber-reinforced vinyl resin contains a rubber-reinforced copolymer resin (A1) obtained by polymerizing vinyl monomers (b1) in the presence of rubber polymers (a), or, a (co)polymer (A2) of vinyl monomers (b2) and of the rubber-reinforced copolymer resin (A1) obtained by polymerizing vinyl monomers (b1) in the presence of rubber polymers (a).
