Abstract:
The present invention is a resin composition which contains (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (B) an unsaturated aldehyde, and wherein the content of the unsaturated aldehyde (B) relative to the resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is from 0.01 ppm to 100 ppm (inclusive). It is preferable that the unsaturated aldehyde (B) is composed of at least one substance that is selected from the group consisting of crotonaldehyde, 2, 4-hexadienal and 2, 4, 6-octatrienal. It is also preferable that the resin composition additionally contains a boron compound and the content of the boron compound is from 100 ppm to 5,000 ppm (inclusive). It is also preferable that the resin composition additionally contains a conjugated polyene compound and the content of the conjugated polyene compound is from 0.01 ppm to 1,000 ppm (inclusive).
