Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a resin composition from which a molded article having excellent mechanical properties and high elasticity can be produced; and a molded article produced form the resin composition.　Provided is a resin composition comprising a fluororesin that can be melted and molded and inorganic fibers, in which the content ratio of the fluororesin relative to the total amount of the fluororesin and the inorganic fibers is 60 to 95% by mass, the inorganic fibers are inorganic fibers in which at least a portion of the surface thereof has been subjected to a sizing treatment with a sizing agent, and the mass decrease rate after the inorganic fibers are heated at 400°C for 60 minutes is 3% or less. Also provided are: a method for producing the resin composition; and a molded article produced by molding the resin composition.
