Provided is a resin composition which contains an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) and which exhibits excellent surface appearance and excellent long-run molding properties in melt molding and suffers from little yellowing in melt molding, particularly, even in melt molding at a temperature of as high as 260°C or higher. Also provided is a multilayer structure made using the composition. A resin composition which comprises (A) an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, (B) a carboxylic acid and/or carboxylate ions, and (C) metal ions, characterized in that: the component (B) contains (B2) a polyvalent carboxylic acid and/or polyvalent carboxylate ions; and the molar ratio of the component (B2) to the component (C) (namely, B2/C) is 0.002 to 2.
