Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a resin composition for excellent sealants suitable for use as lid materials for food containers.
[Solution] A resin composition for sealants which comprises 50-99 parts by mass of at least one resin (A) selected from among ethylene/vinyl ester copolymers each comprising 90-95 mol% ethylene units and 5-10 mol% vinyl ester units and ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymers each comprising 90-95 mol% ethylene units and 5-10 mol% unsaturated carboxylic acid units and satisfying relationship (1):
-3.0X+107>T (1) (in relationship (1), X represents the content (mol%) of the unsaturated carboxylic acid ester(s) and T represents the melting point (ºC) measured in accordance with JIS K7121-1987),
1-50 parts by mass of at least one resin (B) selected from among ethylene/α-olefin copolymers and A-B-A block copolymers (wherein A represents a polystyrene block and B represents an alkylene copolymer block), and 0-10 parts by mass of a tackifier resin (C).
