Abstract:
Provided is a resin exterior component for vehicles that enables weight reduction while securing strength and stiffness. Also provided is a vehicle equipped with the resin exterior component for vehicles. A mudguard 101 comprises: a resin foam layer 101b that includes a portion that is relatively thick and a portion that is relatively thin; a first carbon-fiber reinforced resin layer 101a1 that makes contact with the obverse face of the resin foam layer 101b and includes a fiber-reinforced resin obtained by reinforcing resin with fibers; and a second carbon-fiber reinforced resin layer 101a2 that makes contact with the reverse face of the resin foam layer 101b and includes a fiber-reinforced resin obtained by reinforcing resin with fibers. The first carbon-fiber reinforced resin layer 101a1 and/or the second carbon-fiber reinforced resin layer 101a2 has, between the portion of the resin foam layer 101b that is thick and the portion that is thin, a stepped portion 106 in contact with the resin foam layer 101b.
