Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a resin helical gear that has good rotation transmission accuracy and that can reduce rotation transmission errors caused by the misalignment of a gear shaft. [Solution] The following are set: a first machining reference line 12 that diagonally connects the tooth tip side of a tooth 2 on one end side in the tooth width direction with the tooth root side of the tooth 2 on the other end side in the tooth width direction along a tooth surface 11; and a second machining reference line 13 that diagonally connects the tooth tip side of the tooth 2 on the other end side in the tooth width direction with the tooth root side of the tooth 2 on the one end side in the tooth width direction along the tooth surface 11. Three-dimensional tooth surface modification is then carried out such that the tooth surface 11 is shaved into a smooth first curved surface 15 from the first machining reference line 12 toward the tooth root on the one end side of the tooth 2 in the tooth width direction and shaved into a smooth second curved surface 16 from the second machining reference line 13 toward the tooth root on the other end side of the tooth 2 in the tooth width direction. As a result, an involute tooth shape remains further toward the tooth tip side of the tooth 2 than the first machining reference line 12 and the second machining reference line 13.
