The present invention is characterized in that a stainless steel and a thermoplastic resin member are bonded by an anodized coating film having a thickness of 20-2000 nm. In addition, the present invention pertains to: a resin-metal bonded body; and a method for manufacturing the resin-metal bonded body, and is characterized in that a stainless steel and a thermoplastic resin are bonded by: a degreasing step for washing the stainless steel with an alkaline solution; a pickling step for washing the stainless steel with an acidic solution; an activation step for activating the stainless steel with an acidic or alkaline solution; a step for applying a current density of at least 0.1 A/dm2 and less than 1.5 A/dm2 in an aqueous solution at 20-90°C by using the stainless steel as a positive electrode, and forming an anodized coating film having a thickness of 20-2000 nm on the stainless steel; a water-washing step for washing the anodized film-formed stainless steel with water at a temperature of at least 5°C and below 60°C; and a step for insert molding the thermoplastic resin on the anodized film-formed stainless steel.
