Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent body that is resistant to fading, does not affect evaluation of bright points even if some fading has occurred, and has excellent initial light emitting intensity and light resistance. These resin particles for fluorescent labels are characterized by fluorescent pigments being fixed in the resin particles, said fluorescent pigments fulfilling both of the following conditions, namely: (1) having a light emitting intensity peak reliant on the density of individual fluorescent pigments in an aqueous solution of within the range of 30-80 µM; and (2) the light emitting intensity at density 100 µM being at least 80% of the peak light emitting intensity. Ideally, the Stoke's shift for the fluorescent pigment in the aqueous solution is at least 25 nm. The fluorescent pigments can have had a water solubilizing treatment (e.g., acid treatment). Ideally, the fluorescent pigments are encased in resin particles containing a heat-curable resin.
