Abstract:
This resin-reinforced metal component, wherein a CFRP reinforcing material is bonded to the surface of a metal component with a thermosetting adhesive being interposed therebetween, is a resin-reinforced metal component (P) that is configured by bonding a CFRP reinforcing material (12) to the surface of a metal component (11) by means of a thermosetting adhesive (13). Since the thickness of the adhesive (13) at end portions (12a) of the CFRP reinforcing material (12) is larger than the thickness of the adhesive (13) in the middle portion, the residual shear stress of the adhesive (13) generated at the end portions (12a) of the CFRP reinforcing material (12) is relaxed. Consequently, separation of the adhesive (13) due to residual shear stress is able to be prevented. In addition, since the larger the thickness of the adhesive (13) is, the more thermal shrinkage difference between the metal component (11) and the CFRP reinforcing material (12) is able to be absorbed thereby in cases where an upper limit is set on the residual shear stress, curving of the resin-reinforced metal component (P) due to the thermal shrinkage difference is able to be prevented.
